Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 1.92%
Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the declined 1.92% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:), which rose 0.09% or 0.002 points to trade at 2.321 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:) fell 0.06% or 0.010 points to end at 17.045 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was down 0.24% or 0.36 points to 150.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altice NV (AS:), which fell 5.18% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.31 at the close. Aegon NV (AS:) declined 5.06% or 0.284 points to end at 5.332 and NN Group NV (AS:) was down 4.04% or 1.59 points to 37.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 113 to 14 and 10 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 16.82% to 18.50 a new 6-months high.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.20% or 1.61 to $71.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.32% or 1.93 to hit $81.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.40% or 28.70 to trade at $1222.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1576, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 94.87.
